Dr. David Speicher
Joining Al-Aqsa in 2021, Dr. David previously taught at private and public schools in the United States and around the world, including the University of Mississippi, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and the American University in Cairo, and he ran a K-12 British school system and teachers training Institute in Kuwait. He Holds a B.A. in History with honors from the University of Florida, an M.A. in History from the University of Mississippi, and a Ph.D. with distinction in Modern European History from the University of Mississippi. He has published academic papers in the US and UK and has delivered invited talks around the world. He is a member of the Institute for Historical Research at University College, London, and was formerly a member of the Making Publics (MaPs) project at McGill University. Dr. David was formerly on the executive board of the Northeast Conference on British Studies as well as a guest member of Harvard’s Center for European Studies Consortium. Dr. David joined Al-Aqsa for its close-knit sense of community, its Islamic values, and to find a place where his own family would feel happy and at home.
