Faiqah Hasan

My name is Sister Faiqah Hasan I have been a member of the Islamic community
as an educational consultant for over 40 years. Professionally I have been
privileged to be an educator at Al Aqsa and this is my 22nd year at Al Aqsa as a
Kindergarten Teacher inclusive of a sabbatical. I also previously taught 7th- 8

Institute). I have worked in 4th grade and 2nd grade as well a reading tutor. Have
extensive early childhood background/degrees (High Honors Diploma in ECE from
Stratford Career Institute, inclusive of letter of endorsement), Associates
Degree in Applied Science focused in early childhood education. In 2013, I earned
PDE Private School Certification as an Assistant Teacher.
I have a strong interest in reading 95% of our kindergarten students are reading
by year’s end—in 2021 I implemented my phonemic awareness and reading
techniques during the summer to a kindergarten student and successfully
prepared them for first grade by summer’s end.
I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners!! Helping each child
progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—
is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community
of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. Thank you for
